Every day, dozens of personalities share the same birthday. Some are icons of cinema, while others are figures in sports or music. September 26 is no exception: the list of celebrities born on this day combines globally recognized names with newer talents to discover.
Celebrities born on September 26: a date rich in personalities
Have you ever wondered who celebrates their birthday today among international stars? September 26 brings together a variety of profiles, from rock to Hollywood and tennis.
Bryan Ferry, founder of the band Roxy Music, was born on this day. His career, which began in the 1970s, redefined the codes of art rock and sophisticated pop. He remains a reference for fans of elegant and experimental music.
In cinema, Linda Hamilton marked an entire generation with her role as Sarah Connor in the Terminator franchise. Jim Caviezel, known for his performance in The Passion of the Christ, also shares this date.
Christina Milian, American singer and actress, and Zoe Perry, seen in Young Sheldon, complete this Hollywood list.
Serena Williams and the sports personalities of September 26
Sports hold a special place among the births on September 26. Serena Williams, born on September 26, 1981, will celebrate her 45th birthday in 2026. Her tennis record remains one of the most impressive in history, across all sports.
A little-known fact: Nev Schulman, host of the show Catfish, was also born on September 26, 1981. He shares exactly the same day and year as Serena Williams, a detail noted by the UPI agency.
Michael Ballack, former captain of the German national football team, is also among the day’s natives. His career at Bayern Munich and Chelsea made him one of the most respected midfielders of the early 2000s.
Personalities born on September 26 off the Western radar
French-speaking and Anglo-American directories often focus on the same names. The lists vary according to their geographical scope, and that’s where surprises appear.
In India, September 26 is associated with Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India. Bollywood actors like Chunky Pandey, Niki Aneja Walia, Anjali Patil, or Madalsa Sharma are also among the natives of this day, never appearing in major American or European lists.
This disparity shows that the notion of “celebrity” depends on the editorial market. A directory based in Paris or New York will not display the same results as an Indian site.
Why some celebrities are missing from classic lists
Online databases operate through manual or semi-automatic input. Each site selects its personalities according to its editorial line and the nationality of its audience. A fictional television actor from India can have millions of fans without appearing in a French-speaking directory.
This is also true in the other direction: French personalities from cinema or advertising remain invisible on Anglo-Saxon lists.
The new generation: September 26 birthdays after the year 2000
General lists often overlook personalities born after 2000. However, September 26 includes emerging talents that deserve attention.
Alisha Weir, born in 2009, is a young Irish actress noted for her roles in film. Zach Top, born in 1997, is making a name for himself in the American country scene with a style reminiscent of the genre’s classics. Ant Clemons, singer and songwriter, rounds out this list of younger natives.
These names illustrate a generational renewal. The birthdays of the day are not limited to stars established for decades.
How birthday directories select their personalities
Are you wondering why one name appears and not another? The process relies on several criteria:
- Notoriety measured by online searches and recent media coverage of the personality
- The geographical scope of the site: a French directory prioritizes personalities known to the Francophone public
- Professional category: actors, singers, and athletes dominate, while scientists or politicians are less represented
- Current events: a personality releasing a film or album will see their profile rise in the results
Finding celebrity birthdays by specific date
Several tools allow you to search for celebrities born on a given day. Some sites like anniversaire-celebrite.com, active since 2007, list thousands of French and international personalities. Evene (Le Figaro) also offers a daily list with biographies and quotes.
The most reliable method remains to cross-reference at least two sources to verify a birth date. Errors exist, especially for less publicized personalities or artists whose civil status is not public.
- Specialized directories (anniversaire-celebrite.com, Evene) mainly cover the Francophone and Anglo-Saxon worlds
- Press agencies like the Associated Press or UPI publish a verified list of famous birthdays each week
- Wikipedia pages, powered by Wikidata, offer a broader scope but with updates that can sometimes be delayed
September 26, 2026, reminds us that behind every date on the calendar lies a mosaic of journeys. From Serena Williams to Manmohan Singh, from Bryan Ferry to Alisha Weir, the diversity of profiles reflects the richness of a simple day of the year.
